In 1988, a group of faithful individuals embarked upon a church plant adventure that became Harvest Bible Chapel. By 1995 they moved into their first building and in 1996 the preaching of Senior Pastor James MacDonald was first aired via the Walk in the Word radio ministry.

In 2000, a church planting vision was adopted where new Harvest Bible Chapels would be launched wherever God provided clear need, leadership, and financial support. The radio ministry of Pastor James regularly provides new locations of openness to a Harvest plant. 

In September 2006, Harvest Bible Chapel Peoria was launched. From opening Sunday it was clear that God had His hand in this local place. We are thrilled to have the privilege of experiencing a real, passionate, contagious relationship with Jesus. And we are excited to see what God has planned next!

Today, there are Harvest churches all over the United States, Canada, the Carribean Islands, Europe, Romania and more. Harvest Bible Fellowship was developed in 2002 as an organization to facilitate the rapid and dynamic church plant growth that was being experienced. Today the opportunities for church plant are continuing on an international scale.
