We'd love to have your family join us this weekend! Here are some frequently asked questions about Higher Ground:

1. Where should I go for Higher Ground?

Higher Ground is located in the West Hallway in the Conference Center at Embassy Suites (Just past the Worship Space). A Welcome Table volunteer will help you register your child and find the appropriate classroom. On your first visit, you may want to come a few minutes early to give us time to welcome you and register your child.

2. What should I pack for my infant/toddler?

When packing a diaper bag for your child ages 0-24 months, please include the following items: 1. Two or three disposable diapers. 2. Pacifier or other item, should your child need it for comfort. 3. A complete change of clothes in case your child would require it. 4. A bottle of milk, formula, juice or water. Please label all personal items with your child's first and last name to assist us in keeping track of his or her items.

3. Do you provide a snack?

We do offer a snack in BedRock classes. In Birth through 2 years of age we offer Cheerios, while in the Preschool classes we offer Goldfish crackers. If the snack is different than these two choices we will post the snack menu outside of the classroom. Lists of ingredients for snacks are available upon request.

4. What is the Higher Ground program like?

For kids ages 2 and under, we provide age-approriate care in a safe setting. We work hard to ensure that coming to church is a positive experience for kids so that he or she senses the love of Christ through the care of our workers. For ages 3 through 4th grade, we offer age-appropriate programming including worship, Bible teaching, Small Group discussion and interactive crafts and activities.

5. Will my child be safe?

Yes! We work hard to provide a safe and secure classroom environment. Our workers are regularly screened and trained to ensure they give the best care possible to your kids. Our registration process only allows Higher Ground Volunteers and Higher Ground families in the Higher Ground hallway. During the registration process, all families are given a Family ID number that is displayed on the top of the video screens in the Worship Center if the parent is needed. Each child will receive an adhesive nametag with the Family ID number. Your matching nametag will allow you to pick up your child from Higher Ground. At any point you can also request a permanent ID number for your family.

6. What do I do if my child may be sick or isn't feeling well?

We realize that children are exposed to colds and can exchange illness very easily. For this reason, we work to make Higher Ground a healthy place for everyone. For the protection of all the children of our ministry, we can't accept a child with obvious signs of sickness (such as a runny nose, fever, or persistent cough). We request that you do not place your child in the program while they are at risk of exposing children.
