The Mission of the Church is to fulfill the Great Commission - helping others become passionate, contagious followers of Jesus Christ. We believe this is best accomplished in the context of the local church. Why? Because that is exactly what Jesus is all about building ... His church! (Matt 16:18)
The role of
Missions
is to fulfill our
mission
internationally. Therefore, our missions program will be focused on church planting world wide. The battle cry for our Missions program ... "a church for every people!"
We divide Missions into three segments:
Global Outreach
- assisting in church planting in the United States and abroad.
Local Outreach -
actively involving our body in the life of the surrounding community with the specific intent of helping felt needs, in order to act as a light to draw others back to the local church. These activities may be decidely evangelistic, or they may just be compassionate in nature. But they will always allow the church to be a local light and eventually lead to sharing Jesus.
Short Term Trips
- sending small teams on missions trips to assist with needs in distant churches, and to help immerse our body in the passion of serving Jesus.
