Shane is passionate about leading students to turn their hearts toward Jesus, the Church, and their parents for the glory of God. He is the Director of the Ignite high school ministry. Ignite seeks to produce students who strive to be disciples that make disciples.
Shane joined the staff of Harvest Peoria in July of 2010. Before coming to Harvest, he served as a student minister at churches in Springfield, MO and Louisville, KY. He was also a high school teacher and basketball coach at a public high school in Southwest Missouri.
Shane was born and raised in Pekin. Through the invitation of a friend, he began attending a student ministry his junior year of high school and realized his need for a Savior. After attending four colleges in four years, he graduated from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, MO with a bachelor's degree in social science education. He subsequently graduated from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity Degree.
Shane met his sweet wife Brittany the first day at his fourth and final college (which is largely why he finally stayed somewhere). They have a boy named Silas and twins named Simeon and Lieren. Shane loves to play basketball or any other sport and also enjoys throwing a frisbee over and over again to his two Australian Shepherds, Luther and Augustine.
